Throughout the world, nuclear oversight has been compromised by the revolving door and cozy relationship between the nuclear industry and the so-called nuclear regulators who promote nuclear power rather than regulate.

The row over Kudankulam nuclear power plant is all set to rise with negotiations between protestors and the government breaking down spectacularly. Strongly batting for early commissioning of Kudankulam nuclear power project, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has said the Centre was probing the flow of funds allegedly received by the anti-project activists and would take strong action if the money came in a „wrong way“. Now the organizer of anti Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant has now threatened to sue the Chidambaram, and as well as MoS PMO Naraynasamy for making defamatory remarks.
