In Germany they told us, that an nuclear accident happens maximal all 10.000 years. But we have over 4000 nuclear plants in the world. 10000 : 4000 = 25!! So we can expect an nuclear desaster all 25 years. Chernobyl: 1986, Fukushima: 2011!!

But thats only statistics. It could happens every day!

Protestors against the Koodankulam Nuclear Plant in Tamil Nadu show no sign of relenting as the agitation enters the 5th day. Rejecting all assurances by the prime minister, the protesters continue their indefinite fast. Amidst all this, prime minister wrote another letter to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, saying that the nuke plant is in state’s interest.

Despite Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s second letter assuring anti-nuke plant protesters in Tamil Nadu, the agitation at the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant site continued on Thursday (October 13). As the protests entered its fifth day, the agitators blocked the East Coast road, which passes through the plant.
